I met Gwen & Flo in September 2023 over a casual coffee. Gwen had spotted my work online and Flo took over with organizing the details. I thought 'what a gorgeous couple, I cannot wait to photograph them.' Especially because they chose a wonderful manor for their special day. Everything was going to be perfect.

We kept in touch the entire 12 months prior to their wedding, with Gwennaelle also choosing a friend of mine to tailor her wedding dress.

Their wedding was a storybook day, etched in my heart forever. Over the past year, I’d had the pleasure of getting to know them intimately. Their excitement, care, and attention to every detail made me feel like I wasn’t just their photographer, but a part of their journey. They wanted a celebration that truly reflected their lives together—a close gathering of just 60 of their most cherished family and friends. I was thrilled to be a part of it and flew from Lisbon with high expectations, knowing this day would be something extraordinary.

Their story had unfolded over a decade. Gwen and Flo first met when Gwen was Flo’s manager. Six years later, fate intervened, bringing them together again through mutual friends. That spark reignited, and two years later, during a trip to Iceland, Flo asked Gwen to marry him. In April 2023, they welcomed their first child, the most ADORABLE little girl.

As a photographer, I’ve witnessed countless love stories, each unique, but Gwen and Flo’s connection was something rare. It was clear, in the way they held each other’s gaze, that their bond ran deep. They chose to have their first look in a private, intimate setting, just the two of them, and I was honored to help make it unforgettable. I crafted a session that would allow them to pause and take in that moment—a space for them to be entirely present with each other. I saw in their eyes and gentle movements the unmistakable purity of their love.

The theme of their wedding was vibrant colors, a testament to the joy and light they bring into each other’s lives. For the bridal party, we used colorful smoke bombs, which was a first for me to capture. It was an electrifying addition to my portfolio, a striking symbol of the happiness radiating from this day and from these two. 

The ceremony in the Manor’s garden felt almost otherworldly, set against the historic elegance of the venue, and yet so deeply personal and moving. As Gwen and Flo exchanged their vows, tears flowed freely from their guests, each word a powerful testament to their love and dedication. Their connection was palpable, every gesture, every smile, each tender touch saying more than words ever could.

I have had the privilege of witnessing many weddings, each with its own beauty, but I rarely see a love as profound as Flo’s devotion to Gwen. It’s a kind of love that reminds me of why I do this work and leaves me hoping everyone can find a love like theirs. Gwen, with her grace and gentle kindness, was stunning, truly embodying beauty and warmth. And Flo, he showed me what it means for a man to love fully, openly, and fearlessly. I left their wedding with my heart full, grateful to have met such soulmates, and inspired to believe in love all over again.
