Sabrina & Gérald got married at the Ferme Saint-Humbert, France.

This is a story of Serendipity. Built on time, faith, and the kind of connection that always finds its way back.

I met Sabrina two years ago, when I had just come back to France from Australia to start my photography business. I was searching for a wedding dress designer to collaborate with and found her profile on Facebook, a small local showroom called Sabrina Maya Bride. From the first meeting I found such a warm and soft person, and her dresses are more than just fabric, they carry emotion, softness and soul.

We became friends and soon enough, she designed a gown for one of my brides. That collaboration deepened our connection.

Then last year, she shared me the news : she got engaged, and she wanted me to be her photographer.

I was over the moon. The designer who creates dream dresses for others was now about to create her own.

Sabrina and Gérald's story began when they were just 15. They met in high school and became friend. But Gérald had a secret : he was completely in love with her.

And he was right. Five years later, fate brought them together : she happened to walk past his house, and he saw her through the window. From that day on, they never parted.

A year into the relationship, Gérald gave Sabrina a promise ring. Together, they have 2 wonderful boys, Yanis and Mathis.

She thought marriage wasn't going to happen but in 2024, he popped the question. 26 years together, after 2 children and a thriving business, she was now going to be a wife.

Their wedding took place in a countryside farm in the North of France, a place filled with warmth and authenticity, just like them.

Every part of the day felt deeply personal, the necklace she wore with a pendant hiding a photo of her passed mother, her dad crying when he saw her in her dress, and their first dance, perfectly synchronized and full of emotion, that left everyone stunned.

For me, this day was an experience to feel. I was there as a photographer, but also as a guest, a friend, and a witness to something real. Watching Sabrina marry the love of her life, wearing the dress she made with her own hands, was nothing short of magical.

And also, I couldn't help but think about how meaningful it was that the very woman who designed her own dress and whose wedding I photographed will also be the one creating mine one day.
